Looks like I'm going to keep what I have, went to look at the 24's again yesterday and I'm really not crazy about the overall looks of the new model. The saddle bags are flimsy, the inner fairing is a matte finish and the display doesn't impress me much.I also don't like the new handle bar control's. Maybe in a year or two I will get use to them and that will give them time to work out any bug's which I'm sure they will have.
If I casal, why a 24 over your current 23, whats on the new bike thats not on your 2023? If you have a balance of 30 k you should be able to trade with 10 grand down. Wish you well👍🏻
What the bike is worth is totally dependent on who buys it. All of the dealers will low ball you, so if you want to get more for it you will have to sell it yourself. Trading in a bike is a tax advantage, but you have to weigh that savings against the difference in price that they are offering. I personally find that the prices offered by the dealers are insulting, and have never traded a bike in.
I was curious of what my 2023 sgs in black was worth on a trade for a new 2024 sgs ,I'm getting prices around $19,500-20,000 how can a bike i paid 32,000 for be worth only that much in the 6 months of ownership!!
New model released last week for $26k. It's a buyer's market on the used bikes for sure.
Last bike I sold, the dealer told me that nobody uses KBB.com anymore and to use JDPower. Unless they are selling you a bike, that all changes you can throw any book value right out the window:
Pricing & Values
Add OptionsInfo & Definitions
Base Price$28,199 OptionsN/A Suggested List Price (MSRP) $28,199Base Price$17,745 OptionsN/A Low Retail Value $17,745Base Price$23,350 OptionsN/A Average Retail Value $23,350
Heres the answers
* KBB is overvalued and always was and dealers never use it - Dealers, insurance Companies etc use NADA or Galves
* Your bike is not worth more than wholesale on a new bike
Due to injury, I just took 8000 on trade for a BMW I paid 13500 for with 600 miles... and the 8000 was a high fair value... I traded on my Triglide...

Not a good time to trade on a new bike unless you're looking at a new 2023 model. I never buy the first run of a new model. I always wait for them to work the bugs out.
I've visited the dealers to see the new line up and have to say I wasn't impressed with the quality or some the styling. To each his own. I do like the 117.
