I'm being offered a good deal (from a friend) that I will probably say 'YES' to. $10k for a 2015 Street Glide with 21k miles on it. Bike is completely stock. Is there anything I should be concerned with? Timing chain tensioner? Oil pump? This will also be my first twin cam.
Also in with the deal is a shovelhead motor which is already sitting on my workbench as I started rebuilding it for him last year. A shovelhead frame and 4 large tubs of various shovelhead parts.
I owned a 2015 RoadGlide which is basically the same bike with a different fairing. It was the hottest running bike I have ever owned. I tried everything I could to cool it down including cat free exhaust, fan assisted oil cooler and a Powervision tune. It would literally fry my leg in traffic. My solution was to trade it in on a water cooled M8. Best decision I ever made. What is odd is that none of my other twin cams had that problem. Only my 103. That being said, 10K is a good deal. And you are getting shovel parts with it?
I had a 2015 Street Glide. It was a good running bike. I never noticed it running hot. I wish i still owned it. Jump on the deal and don't look back. Enjoy the ride.
