Default Docking Hardware Locks. Which are better?

Picked up my factory painted HD Tour-Pak yesterday with the lights, luggage rack, passenger backrest and the VIN keyed lock to mount on my RG docking hardware. It's an expensive bit of kit so I'm definitely going to be installing docking hardware locks. I'm looking at these: https://airwingplus.com/products/loc...ys_b071vppm6h_

They can be purchased on Amazon for a decent price. But before I pull the trigger, I'm wondering if anyone has had issues with this brand. Are there better ones?

I've used the Amazon locks and the HD branded locks and can't tell the difference.

What prevents someone from unbolting the allen head?

Probably quicker to take the whole bike.

OK.. Pretty well what I'm looking for. Out of interest, I'm in Canada and HD Canada doesn't sell the locks up here. The part numbers listed for the locks on the US HD site don't exist on the Canadian site. Gotta go third party.

But one plus is that we don't have to pay to activate Nav on the '24 Street and Road Glides. We get it for free up here in the frozen north

Yea, just looking at the docking setup.. There are a few ways to remove things clamped on the docking rails. You can even pull off the saddle bags and then undo four bolts. But I guess slowing down the thief might be of some benefit. If that fails, I have insurance

Removing the allen head won't free the lock. It would be necessary to also remove the docking point spool screw. Then both components need to be pulled (in unison) straight outwards horizontally off their mounting hubs. Not going to happen if the bag lids are closed/locked.

The only connection between the clamps and the tour pack mount is a single allen bolt. Unbolt the allen head and take the TP, leave the clamps behind.

The screw secures the locking latch to the side plate mounting hub. The latch can't be released from the side plate unless it is pulled outwards off the mounting hub. It can't be pulled outwards if it is locked onto the docking point spool.

oems are great quality, easy to use....but it's not rocket surgery...i could see a knock off being easily as good and likely less money

I bought those but haven't gotten around yet to install them.
Hopefully soon.
Please let us know if you like them.
