Well, after talking to a buddy, his 2018 is the same way on the clutch side as well, his gap is even worse than mine.
I spoke with a local HD Service Manager yesterday and he walked around the showroom floor and tested some brand new bikes and used bikes,
some were good and some were bad (All on clutch side), he used a piece of paper to slide in.......
Going to try and find like a 1/16" diameter piece of rubber with a durometer of 20 to 40...
Unless someone has a better idea?
Without seeing it, I don't have a better idea. Can you post a pic? I was in the fairing on mine a lot, and never noticed a gap anywhere. Even the top next to the windshield fit well.
Since it's been a couple of weeks since the OP began this thread....I'm going to guess he figured it out. IF so, it's too bad he didn't follow up on this thread.
I wish more posters, would add a "final resolution of the issue" post. It would help us all to learn more.

He posted less than an hour ago saying it's still an issue. Read before posting please.

These were all on Street Glides Business Card slides in Zoom in on this puppy
I have a similar condition on my '16 Ultra Classic but haven’t pursued any kind of a fix. I'll be interested to see what you come up with.
I think finding a durometer of 20-40 is going to be the hardest part. I'm thinking just lay it in there so it's pinched and tighten up the outer fairing.
Durometer 20 is like a rubberband, Durometer 40 is like a pencil eraser.....
I may just leave it alone for now and try again when it's 90 degrees outside.....

you have two eyes and 10 fingers....is this why you type more than you read?
After I installed a Freedom Shield on my 2018 Street Glide Special, there was a slight gap on both sides. Freedom claims their shields are 30% thicker than stock. I ordered the seals that come with the 3 pocket fairing pouch to fill the gaps.
Back in 2018, they were about $5 per side.

Wow, thanks for that info, that may work perfect!
LOL, the LH side is more expensive, go figure......

Found a dealer who has 1 on hand, pick it up Saturday.
I wonder if this goes on in addition to the seal that's currently there or do I cut out what's there?....
