Hey All, For some reason I can't get my outer fairing to pull in all the way on the top left side to the gasket?
I have removed the outer fairing on 3 different streetglides several times with no problems at all.
This streetglide I removed the fairing mirrors and put HD mirror hole plugs on.
Put the fairing back on and can't get it to seal against the gasket, I can slide a business card thru the outer fairing and rubber gasket (Only on the top clutch side)
Any ideas?
I've had my fairing off, and on a couple of times. (2012 FLHX) for speaker upgrades, Amp install, etc. It can be a bit tricky on installation if anything underneath the Fairing has been disturbed.
I'd try removing the Fairing, look at the underside to see if there is any obvious rubbing marks on the Fairing. Inspect all the wiring etc. to see if everything is tucked into place as it should be. When you reinstall the Fairing, put all the screws in finger tight only. Then start tightening the screws at the top left first (where your gap problem was).
Good luck.

Okay Fellas, I've tried everything, it will not pull together completely.
I started to think about the inner fairing. Is it possible when they did the handlebars that the inner fairing was seated a little bit wrong?
In other words, is there something i can loosen to move it?

on my 14 the yaffe bars i had interfered with the bottom of the fairing by the ignition switch.
Well, after talking to a buddy, his 2018 is the same way on the clutch side as well, his gap is even worse than mine.
I spoke with a local HD Service Manager yesterday and he walked around the showroom floor and tested some brand new bikes and used bikes,
some were good and some were bad (All on clutch side), he used a piece of paper to slide in.......
Going to try and find like a 1/16" diameter piece of rubber with a durometer of 20 to 40...
Unless someone has a better idea?
