I had JAS one on my Softail before. Product was nice but I didn't like plastic neck insert as it was difficult to remove it to add oil while on the road, it was getting hot and reading the oil level was real pain as it was almost invisible on this stick. Won't be buying this product again for same reasons.
I guess KOSO is alternative that does same thing as OEM item so curious about this one as otherwise I will use what I got. Shame HD can't design something that works properly as idea and functionality is great (when it works) 😄
I had KOSO, lasted about 6 months, rode in a rainstorm, kaput.
The only one I have used that worked was the analog gauge, and I only got that one because my dipstick had been leaking for the 3rd time on that bike and the plain cheap one was out of stock. I have never seen the electronic one last. A few guys I ride with have had them and they have all failed.
I've got the KOSO brand. I've had it a couple years and it's still working fine. I've ridden in rain and washed the bike numerous time (yes, I use a water hose) and have not had any problems with it.
