Does anyone have the procedure to reset the twist grip sensor on my 2012 Street Glide? I have tried 10 seconds on 10 seconds off x 4 and the same with 30 seconds on and off with no luck. The NAMZ twist grip sensor I bought is very sensitive, even the slightest roll forward causes it to cancel the cruise control.
The procedure you describe is usually to correct a high idle, have never heard it resetting the cruise cut-off function. You didn't mention if you had the "Run-Stop" switch in the right switch housing turned to "Run". I believe that is required, and turning off the ignition when the fuel pump stops priming is long enough in the ON position. If the pump doesn't start on successive cycles, still leave the ignition for 4 or 5 seconds. 30 seconds is much longer than needed. Never heard of a NAMZ twist grip sensor but that doesn't mean there is anything wrong with it, just not a name I heard before.
I dont know what you mean by slightest roll forward, but you do know that rolling the throttle forward is one way of canceling cruise, right?
I'm not on board with that. I've often accelerated with cruise control on and it recovered to cruise speed no problem Now it you twist it off the whole way it will cancel cruise, that's the design.

I wasnt talking about accelerating. With cruise set, if you roll the throttle forward, opposite of accelerating, the cruise will disengage.

Before I replaced the sensor, I had to roll the throttle forward quite a bit to cancel. Now, even 1/8" or maybe less cancels it. It's so sensitive that if you have the throttle open 1/4 of the way and set the cruise and let the sensor snap back to idle, it'll cancel the cruise control.
I checked the 2011 Electrical Diagnostic Manual and it doesn't have a reset procedure for the twist grip sensor in the cruise control section. Are you getting a codes since you changed to NAMZ?

If you're asking if the check engine light is on, no. I am getting some flashing of my cruise control light, but I'm not sure if that's normal or if it's trying to tell me something.
I also called NAMZ today and left a message, their tech support doesn't answer.
I still have my H-D sensor, I may just have to put it back on the bike.
