Would like a very long set up to lesson the angle and wide enough to use for 4 wheeler and golf cart.
Want something safe enough for my 87 year old father in law to be able to load his golf cart safely, as well as my Roadking when wife and I go to visit the grands 12 hrs away.
I want something like this except this set had to stay together and for motorcycles only.
Some sets allow use of just outer 2 for a wider wheel base but of course less capacity which is fine but not as long.
Discount Ramp Black Widows come apart into three sections. The center wide section and two narrower sides. I can break it down, fold up the sections and pack it into the truck with my bike. The 10' is heavy though, 8' is easier to move around if the truck is low enough. They have a calculator on the site to tell you which one you need or call them. I had the 8' for my GMC Canyon, but then when I went to a full size Sierra I had to get the 10' ramps. They work great for riding the bike in and out, but they are heavy. I ride the bikes up the ramp, on the way out leave the motor off but transmission in gear. Use front brake and clutch to control your descent. Easy once you get the hang of it and they are plenty wide enough that you have places to put your feet all the way in and out. I have a Condor wheel chock bolted to the bed of the truck, makes loading and unloading a one man job.
No idea what a golf cart weighs comparted to a HD, check into that, batteries can be heavy. Good luck.
I bought these for loading my Polaris General (1700-1800lbs) SxS onto my flatbed. 10' was the right length for me. You can lock them together side by side. I use them for the golf cart too. They are very stout. Always secure your ramps with a strap to the truck so they don't slip off. I bought the channel they lock into. I never mounted it though.
I would suggest that you purchase a motorcycle trailer and eliminate all the risk of "high center" while loading into a truck. Motorcycle trailers are much lower to the ground and the ramps that come with the trailers are specifically made to load the bike without risk of dumping the bike on the ground.
