Mine was on a cvo bike with the whim installed and the GTS radio. Jumper doesnt work on that setup, you need a headset connected to enable Car Play and then you can plug in the phone to the usb in the cubby for it to work. Your setup might be different.
I have the same setup: CVO with WHIM installed. I NEVER use the wireless headphones, and prefer to listen to music on the speakers. I have way more value for Apple Car Play than the WHIM. I was thinking of disconnecting the WHIM where the jumper would connect and installing the jumper. Just wondering if anyone has ever tried that and how did it work?? Thanks!

I do not have WHIM but just installed the Jumper and it works flawlessly.
Have you hucked that wireless dongle into Lake Roosevelt yet? 🤣
lol not yet. Its been a month and that Autosky has been flawless for me. Touchwood ..At least in my case it connects right away, even before I fire up my bike.
Im keeping my finger crossed, after all its electronics. Anything can happen. Ill keep updating on how it works.

Joe, the best solution I’ve found for cvo bikes is to connect the headset module and keep it in the tour pack while riding. I just plug my iPhone into the usb in the cubby and CarPlay works great.
I have the same setup: CVO with WHIM installed. Took bike to a Indy shop and had it flashed to turn off the microphone in the WHIM. Either plugging the phone in or Autosky Car play has been flawless for me.

I think you could do that with 2020 or earlier cvos. I dont know if its possible with 21/22/23. The 23.5 and up have an entirely different operating system for their radios.
I have a 23 RGL, and I still do the old "software hack" to it, that is disabling "CarPlay Mic Type", the choices are wired/wireless/disable in my software (I use Diag4Bike). But just for clarification, that does not "disable the mic", it just disables the requirement of having to have a mic to get CarPlay to be available. It makes it to where I can use a headset if I want to and the mic still works fine, and then if I don't want to use a headset I don't have to and CarPlay is still available. Any local Indy, or whoever, with TechnoResearch or Diag4Bike can still access the setting (in TechnoResearch's software the setting is not as obvious, but it does it too).

I had a 22 RGL, its a lot simpler with bikes without WHIM, I just plugged in an adapter on that bike where the wired headset port was and life was good!

I was just letting you know that the software hack still worked on the GTS's thru the 2023 models. If I didn't have Diag4Bike the headset plug "hack" is what I would use too. Because of that software (Diag4Bike), it is just one setting and you don't have to do anything else and then you can use a headset (mic) or not... only downside, besides having to pay to get it changed in the first place, is if a dealer hooks up to your bike with DigitalTech they could inadvertently screw that setting up for you (it's not automatic, depends on what they are doing) and a person would have to have it changed back. It has happened to me a couple times, once when we replaced the BCM to add TPMS to my 16 RGU, and another time on the same bike when we were trouble shooting a lighting issue and was in and out of several screens on Digital Tech, and I knew it was probably going to happen. But with the software it only took a few minutes to switch it back when I got home.
