Bought a Boombox GTS from a member here off his 2023 Street Glide. I know I need a jumper and there was something else that goes in the cubby for wireless carplay. Which one seems to work better according to your experience ?
that I randomly picked on Amazon and it worked. Used it for a while, but grew tired of the delay in switching songs, intermittent failure to connect and random disconnects. My iPhone lives in the cubby now, plugged in and never fails.
To me those wireless Carplay dongles were a crapshoot. I tried 2 different ones that were recommended here, but they didn't work. Tried this one that I randomly picked on Amazon and it worked. Autosky has been 100% reliable for me. It's also important to make sure you update the firmware on these devices. Did you do that?
The reason I like wireless CarPlay is it allows me to control the charging of my phone, its not good for the phone battery to be frequently charged to and kept at 100% for long periods.

Yes, firmware updated and current. It just doesn't meet my expectations. I tried the one you have, and for unknown reasons it would not work.
The battery technology in iPhone 15 that I have allows it to be plugged in forever if I wanted it to. It will automatically stop charging when full, and I have the optimization selected so it only goes to 80% anyway.

That is the same POS I bought (on your recommendation I believe) and I just could not get it to work for me correctly, all the time, even with updated firmware.
The wire works for me, and I never stress about phone batteries.

There is a battery setting that limits it to 80% in most circumstances, but not all. It can go to 100% in some situations.
Not sure why there is such inconsistency, like I said, its worked quite well for me. Oh well! Ż\_(ツ)_/Ż
