Last weekend, I replaced the worn plastic tips that I installed a few years ago to cover the weathered outer tips of my inner fairing.
Once I removed the old plastic covers I was shocked at how worn the fairing had become. Now that I replace the plastic tip covers, the inner fairing looks okay again but I still need to add Mothers Black, to make it look better.
Now I'm considering replacing my inner fairing. The OEM is still available but it is not painted.
The Hogworks is about the same price for a painted fairing (vivd black).
My question to those that have purchased a Hogworks inner fairing, how do you like it?
can't speak for this fairing, but my brother did their lowers
before Installing, he dropped them off and I polished and coated them...I had a chance to look at every detail....they were very nice quality
as well, i'd be curious as to what the finish looks like on the old....you mentioned Mother's...have you tried a product that does more than dress the plastic....there are some that really do a great job of making plastic look black and brand new
i've used this specific brand on a number of different weathered and gray pieces of trim on both cages and bikes, it works great....it basically changes the surfaces of the plastic....i highly recommend two coats, 1 will look so good, you may be tempted to stop after one coat, but a second coat will deepen the black and give you a little more protection

OKAY, I got a bottle of this stuff. Man sakes alive, it is hard to stay clean with this stuff. It is messy.
It is not soaking in very well. I tried to clean the black plastic on my lowers as a test run. I may need to up my game and switched to NAPTHA or denatured alcohol to clean the plastic surfaces. I try again later on.
Would you be able to replace the fairing yourself or need someone to do it?
if you are confident enough to do it your self, why not paint the inner fairing you have now and reassemble?
It has a couple of gouges that have been bugging me ever since I got the bike. If this Black stuff works, and so far it is not doing a stellar job on the lowers as a test subject, then I will be able to live with it a bit longer.
Also, my painting skills are not as good as I would like.
Got mine from ebay, completely satisfied. All holes lined up perfect no issues. Here's a screenshot of fhe sellers info. Others here have recommended this seller as well. I'm one year onnfrom install and no issues

Out of that year, how much time were you riding it?
How are the fit and finish? When you took out the OEM inner fairing, did you compare it to the new one? Does the new one seem or feel flimsy in comparison?

I rebuilt the whole inside. New poly supports and the whole works. The fit and finish is amazing. It does move at idle more than before but that is partly due to the poly upright being more flexible than the ild steel ones.
every mounting point was perfectly aligned. the only difference was that it had the hole on the right side for i assuked throttle cables. I just plugged it.
I bpught the carbon fiber dipped one for a different look. I can PM you some pics if you like
