I think you can chase that “correct suspension” feel forever… It’s like sailboats… And it’s called 2 foot-itis… You buy a 28… And you’re pretty certain a 30 would be better… once you get a 30 that 32 is starting to look pretty good also… And that “extra 2 feet will make all the difference in the world”…
I put 20,000 miles on my 2009 with stock suspension… And I put 45,000 miles on my 2017 with stocks suspension… I thought about putting better suspension on it… But then I thought deeper… Motorcycles are supposed to be uncomfortable … and if you’re looking for ideal comfort… Maybe an air-conditioned car is a better choice…🤪

…13,000 miles in 10 weeks on a stock suspension… and that included a trip up into Alaska… …45,000 miles on the odometer now… only things I have added for comfort where a proper backrest… a coffee cup holder… And of course, Highway pegs
