Default 96 Engine Build Questions

I am in the process of building out an 08 96" engine and have some questions relating to this. I currently have Woods TW-222 cams, Woods Lifters, Fuel Moto pushrods, SE Comp Sprocket, stiffer clutch spring, 2:1 Exhaust and TMax ECU.

My questions are as follows:
1. What would the benefit be of me doing a big bore 110 kit for the cylinders? Would I even see any improvement and if so, how much?
2. Is a port/polished head required to take advantage of the 110? Or would new heads with port/polish, new valves and springs be needed?
3. Would new cams be needed going this route?
4. What if just heads were installed? Would that do anything without the full Stage 3 kit?

All in all I'm just trying to figure out the best method to move forward and not spend an arm and a leg on things that aren't necessarily going to make a noticeable or dramatic difference.

Thanks.

You didn't mention miles on bike. Are you assembling it?

As svarnster pointed out above, the aftermarket parts need to compliment each other, and work in unison.

You could throw a bunch of high quality parts together, but end up with a dog.

It appears you already have Woods cams and FuelMoto pushrods... Those are both staples of FuelMoto packages.

In your shoes, I would call FuelMoto. Tell them what you have, what your goals are..... see what they suggest.

If not FuelMoto, the shop of your choice. See what they recommend. Performance shops will have the experience to know what works well together...

Good luck with your decisions..

I would do a 103 with ported heads but I like small changes Then next time go 107 after that maybe a 110.
