Anybody use the Hawg Wired speakers with the stock HK system without the additional Hawg Wired amp? I just sold my Hogtunes and now I'm in the market for new speakers. Thought about going the J&M route but a bit iffy there. I'm also considering the Infinity Kappa 52.7i speakers. Anyone using the Infinitys and if so, do you like them? Basically, I would like to hear from people using speakers other than the Hogtunes to see what else is out there and if people are pleased with their choices in replacement speakers.
I have the hawg wired component speakers with the amp, awesome sound, they also make direct replacement speakers, thier stuff is expensive but it is top of the line.
Mike, their speakers weren't that out of line compared to all the other replacement speakers out there. I think I saw them for around $110. It's the amps that kill you. I saw one that was $1000. You better be able to hear that one 2 towns over and clear as can be. I was curious how the speakers would be with the stock HKunit.
JM, might go the J&M route but the best price I have found is from a company I won't do business with(ACM). I have an email into M&M cycles but have yet to get a quote. Wish I knew someone who has them so I can hear them first. I've posted on 2 different forums and haven't received much feedback on them.
trying to send you a second PM computer is acting crazy --- I have not had a problem with 4 ohm speakers --- I did hook up a car amp--but that's another post
