confused on clutch

confused on clutch
im confused on this clutch adj thang. therse two adj's. i adj my cable today and all the nasty slop is gone and all is well. maint schd shows chk every 5k. how do ior would i recognize the need to adj the clutch pak (as i call it) behind the derby???slipping of course would be a tip off but by time its slipping its prob too late. i run amsoil and change the trans/primary every 10k

The first adjustment (at the lever) will dictate the secondary one (behind the derby cover)........after you have adjusted it a couple of times at the lever (to take slack out, which indicates wear)I would adjust at the clutch pack
