GPS in reverse
Prior to getting my Zumo 550 this June I was discussing the upcoming purchase with my wife. (read: asking her permission) I realized she was under the impression that a GPS would enable her to follow my progress when I take long solo trips. At the time I neglected to mention that this was not within Zumos capabilities. I know better than to correct her when she's wrong. Why would I start now?
Now that I'm leaving for 10 days in Ozark Mountains she wants to know how to "lojac my butt" while I'm gone. I had to own up to the fact that I just discoverd our Zumo doesn't actually do that. After consoling each other on how "Ripped Off" we both feel, she asked me to find away to accomplish this. She's a little worried because last year I totaled my new Harley EGC on the Blue Ridge Pkwy and had to fly home with several broken ribs and a finger that was pointing the wrong way.
I know about ELT's that can aid in a local search and rescue. But I'm thinking more along the lines of a cool, new, hitec cell phone or blackberry or mobile pc that can let her find me in Google Earth or MSN Live Search when I want to be found and get me a new toy in the process.
Does anything like this exist?

Google @road this company makes a GPS tracking unit that You can pull up on the web and get all kinds of info, Some trucking, delivery companies use this...............Monthly fee.......................good luck............

Actually, Sprint has that as an option (likely other services do, as well). Costs 10-15 bucks/mo IIRC, an' ya hafta have a phone capable of it (from what ah understand, most of 'em are now).

Love to take her with, as of last fall she's riding along side of me instead of on the passanger seat. But she bought her's for around town and shorter day trips. She has no interest in anything longer. Defenently not a mountain trip! Years ago she rode on back with me to the Smokies and needed half a pint of jackbefore thecrossover from Gatlinburg to Cherokee. She downed the other half for the trip back even after it was in the saddlebag all day in 95 degree heat.

This is the one the Iron Butt guys and gals use.
