Default Front wheel swap

I have an 2007 Electra glide classic I do not like the rims on there now they are stock 16in
A friend has 2013 street glide with his take off rims o and tires complete with rotors
if there a kit I can buy to put his 18” front wheel on my factory set up with a 16” wheel
Please keep in mind I would not mind if I had to buy different calipers I have a prosthetic and I do not use rear brakes so I need these to work very well, I’m not use to riding without ABS and the Electra glide does to have it

I believe all you will need are the correct bearings. There are bearings for bikes equipped with ABS and those that are not. I had mine changed from ABS to non ABS when I swapped a 23 rim onto my 13 street glide, was like $50.

AFAIK the 07 did not have ABS. Maybe you have an 08? ABS started in 08. If it is an 08, the front wheel will go right on.. If an 07 no ABS, I'd swap the front axle and keep the stock bearings.. Or if you got a buddy with a lathe, turn down the axle. The 1 inch bearings used for the later wheels to fit are typically not very good and harder to find..

There was a similar post in here about what was needed, I will see if I can locate it.

Howdy,
I am doing a swap from my 17" from 2017 and putting on my 2002.
I am switching out the bearings, and instead of swapping rotors to use the stock 11.8" rotors, I bought 11.5" rotors and can keep original calipers. I had them rebuilt 3 years ago.
2 rotors, $260, bearings $50, new bolts $50

I used the 11.8" rotors from the 17" wheel and put on the 18" wheel I bought. Came with new tire, no rotors.
So to use the 17" wheel, I'd have to buy new 11.8" rotors AND calipers, or go the 11.5" route.

Will swap out this weeekend.

I put an 11 cvo rim on my 08 with just a bearing swap. The tool is easy to get and it only takes a few mins

"does to have it" ... what's that mean? ... It DOES or DOESN'T have it? (ABS)

Max, 2007 Police bikes had ABS. Used a Tone Ring on the Rotor (used Std bearings)

And BTW, the Rear Wheel is "OUT" ... a NO GO

Also these 2008-24 wheel swaps to 2008-24 bikes don't apply to your application
.

Well the guy said he had an EGC.. Looking on the HD part web site.. There was a police EG std with ABS. It's funny but I guess early on municipals realized that motor police didn't know how to ride..

Help !

Many months ago I did some wheel swaps.
I got a 19" wheel and swapped out my 17" wheel on my 2017.

Now I want to put the 17" wheel on my 2002. I got the rotors finally.
There was another thread, can't find it....about how to switch things out.
the shaft on the '02 is too large for the '17 wheel.

Do I get new bearings that fit the 17" wheel that has the correct size I.D. for the shaft?

You can either get "6205 1 2rs bearing" or get a 2008 front axle, or have someone machine your current axle down to 25mm. Might need to change axle spacers but you current ones will fit diameter wise.. Check disc rotor spacing first.
