2013 Electra Glide Ultra Classic Idle Rpm fluctuations
anyway I got a 2013 Electra glide ultra classic as stated above.
was riding roughly 2 or 3 months ago and my bike died at a stoplight when I gave it some fuel to accelerate out, bike would start fine, idle with a lot of fluctuation then die after about ten seconds. I then took it home replaced the fuel pressure regulator, fuel filter and fuel pump. Bike would then start up and run now but the fluctuation at idle remained. I then sprayed throttle body cleaner to try to clear out the intake sensor, check air filter, plugs, and fuel injectors. Nothing obvious bike would run at about 90% the last two months but would take a second or two longer to start up then it used too and run with hesitation, finally last week I was riding it (half hoping it would get worse to help troubleshoot) and it did, I rode home slow with a lot of hesitation, full throttle going 50mph, I have gone through a lot of troubleshoot with very little success, still idling rough and when giving quick throttle it sputters almost like its getting too much fuel, really appreciate any help solving this issue this has been a headache and Im ready to have my bike back
then focus on electrical side, being ECM seeing 12v plus, plugs and wires fine, coil ohm's out correctly, then crank/cam sensors for possible problems.
Also, keep in mind that system is running in closed loop, so if O2 sensor has gone lazy, going to cause all kinds of problems.
Bottom line, start with checking for any codes to begin with, should at least start you down the correct path to begin with.
what do the plugs look like. i believe the temp sensor will make the bike have a rich condition when it goes bad or the wiring is broken.
After researching on this amazing internet and watching youtube videos I first tried the clean the IAC fix. Get some carb (injector) cleaner and spray UP into the hole where the IAC is. Ignition on and cycle the Run switch on and off. That cycles the IAC up and down and you spray at the same time. I had some luck with this.
I also replaced my TPS. This pretty much fixed my erratic idle problem. It idles smooth to this day. 102,000 miles!

Now my new question the ecm in the bike currently is a 34245-11, every part number i find online in any parts catalog is 34246-08B. Does any one have any knowledge on ecm part numbers, does harley require programing to the bike if i find an ebay one that matches what's currently in the bike.
I troubleshot and used all advice with no success, finally decided to bite the bullet and take it to harley, they discovered an internal fault in the ecm.

The ECM part number for your bike in the online parts finders is #34246-08B. However, it appears to be obsolete now. The part number you have #34245-11 is a newer ECM, and may be a newer, compatible part number.
It seems your ECM has been replaced once already since it came from the factory... Or perhaps that older part number is a mistake in the parts finder....
You are going to need to check with a dealer to sort that out...
FWIW.... My 2012 Touring Factory Parts Catalog, purchased when I bought my 2012 Ultra Limited, shows the #34246-08B ECM for the touring bikes...
Any time you change the ECM, it needs to be flashed to match the bike's VIN and marry with other electronic modules. You'll need the dealer to do it, or someone with one of the expensive diagnostic tools like the TechnoResearch Centurion Pro to do that for you...
Good luck and report back what the dealer tells you...
