Default Thottle Idle cable install

Any tips on replacing throttle idle cables. More worried about removing gas tank. Any help appreciated

I replaced mine without raising the tank. The toughest part was fishing the new cables which turned out to be relatively easy.

No tank removal needed. Hardest part is installing cable ends on throttle grip carefully without kinking or damaging threaded steel cable. Over all, not as hard as it looks.

On my 04 I had installed them without raising tank or removing outer fairing! Pretty easy to do.

Yup, piece of cake, the only tool i used was some mechanical fingers to help fish the cables under the tank.
