My fault, I assume. I'm a one man demolition crew when it comes to fixing things, but I likethe experiences!
I had to tighten my handlebars on my new `02 ultra which meansI had the fairing off,the radio out and the ignition switchcontrol panel off. To make the job easier, especially in getting the radio out, I unplugged a few things. I thought I was very careful in getting all these plugged back in,but obviously, something is different. I purchasedthe owner's, service and parts manuals a few weeks ago but theyare still on backorder. Can anyone tell me where the horn connections areinside the fairing so I can narrow down my search for the faulty wiring?
Hey, it justoccurred to me. Maybe it's as simple as a blownfuse????? Where's the fuse panel in these baggers? Naw, wait a minute. That couldn't possibly be it.Nothing I do is that easy. I either have the worst possible thing go wrongor I will break something first in the process of fixing it. In this case, looks like I broke the horn and willmost likely be checkingfor the faulty wiring.
Wish ah could be of more help, but ain't been deep enuff into mine yet ta give ya any specifics. Sounds ta me, though, like ya either left a plug set undone or popped a fuse. Yank the front fairin' off an' see what ya find...
A shop manual is the best tool you can have. I make copies of my electric schmetics and laminate them and keep in the bags all the time. You never know when you might need them. imho
