Question Engine Stabilizer Link Installation Question

I'm trying to track down a few new rattles on the 2011 Ultra and thought I'd start with the front engine stabilizer link (HD #16219-09). I removed the original OEM engine stabilizer link (239,000 miles) and noticed that the heim joints on the link moved around very easily. I picked up a chrome engine stabilizer link (HD #16213-10) from the local HD dealer. The heim joints on the new chrome piece were very difficult to move by hand.
Anyways, I'm having difficulty installing this part. I do not want to cross thread the bolt. How do I align the engine to properly install this part? Do I just install one end and use something like a crow-bar to move the engine enough so that I can install the second bolt on the stabilizer link? Any help or ideas is greatly appreciated. The HD factory service manual wasn't of any help.

I would but add padding to keep from scratching anything.. I'd also do it with the bike upright and the rear tire off the ground.

Thanks! I had the bike up on my motorcycle jack.
I ended up using the rubber handle end of an old Craftsman curved steel claw hammer. Worked like a champ! I initially tried to push the engine with my hands while trying to install the bolt. That was futile.

Not sure what is on that year, I got the old style. My buddy, and indie too a micrometer and set mine up same as the old ones for me.I got about 3k on both bikes since he did that. So far so good.
