Install engine before transmission?

Install engine before transmission?
Is it possible to install the motor first and then install the transmission after.
I plan on removing the swing arm of course.
I would like to know if this is possible or do I install tranny first and then the engine.
I will be doing this alone so installing the engine first will be easier for me.
I hope this is an easy question for some one with experience on this.
