I've seen vent ducts to put in the vents of Road Glide fairing from'15 to '23. Has anyone mounted these? How functional are they and are they hard to mount.?
I went with the Trask Check M8 trans cover. I don't run the oil 1/2 quart low, have no external breathers and 6573 miles in I have zero oil on my throttle body. 23 FXLRST, 138tq/131hp and I ride it like I stole it.

I don't think that's what the OP is talking about.

Yes, I added the HD close-able vent kits to my 2020 RGL. I considered some aftermarket ones but for the price, I went with HD original and don't regret it.
I don't close them often but when I need to (cold, rain) they function as they should and work great. Pretty simple installation and happy I did.

Nope I'm talking about plugging up the two air vents in the fairing.. Thanks anyway

I'll have to look again in the catalog, I didn't see those. The ones on EBay are $130 but I contacted the company that sells them for install instructions to see how involved it was, They told me they don't provide Instructions... WTH

They are not in the catalogue. You have to go to the parts breakdown for a year that had them. Like here for a 2018 Road Glide Ultra.
Ref # 32 is is for the assembly...29200071 RH & 29200072 LH

the install is fairly easy if you take your time looking at how things came apart/go back together. it can seem daunting at first, but it really isn't bad. you have to remove the outer fairing and the headlights. some people say you don't need the opening/closing vents, i disagree. when i ride in the rain, water is directed straight at my face unless i close the vent. and i do close them in the winter also.
if i had to buy them (i have a 2019, the last year they came with the bike), i would probably go with the amazon version. but either one is definitely worth it, imo.
Hate to say it, but yet another example of H-D chinsing pennies every which way they can. If they do this on teh things we see - it only begs the question on what they're doing on what we can't see.
Harley is really getting cheaper all the time with what they provide. The prices keep going up and the product amenities go down. The vents should come on all Road Glide fairing models. It started with the heel shifter being eliminated, the CB buttons on an Ultra etc etc. Meanwhile the dealers are raising prices. Just saw a basic Harley T at a dealer for $44. WTH. I appreciate the info on the vents, now to decide which way I wanna go with it
