I installed SE Pro Performance pipes with no popping or odd characteristics. Dealer said SE products seem to work better than after market exhausts by not needing any other mods. I did check my plugs when I winterized and they were burning white. Bike is running way too lean so in the spring I will have the dealer install a SE race fueler. He said this will richen up my EFI. Got a great deal on Ebay. Keep your eyes open.
You can do it, but may have popping and backfiring. I did this with the SE Slip-ons only and had both popping/backfiring. I've got the SE AC & SERT to install over winter and just changed out the exhaust to V&H Ovals.
i put white bros porkers on 1st week of ownership of my RK and screaming eagle air cleaner a week or two later. i have 55K on the bike and never had the computer remapped. the bike has always ran rich even with these mods. IMHO i think the mapping is a scam, it basically moves the overrev limit higher. i have never had mine over 4500 rpm so why pay the bucks for something I don't think you need.
I got anxious and put my SE II slips on...couldn't wait to hear them on the bike, and couldn't afford to do the rest of the stage 1 yet.....I rode about three hundred miles with that configuration...popped and spit more than usual....when I returned to stock, I could'nt stand the quiet - - so I pulled the trigger and bought the rest of the kit - -
I found the SE breather kit on ebay for only 100 bucks delivered, and had the HD dealer do the map - - they charged 149 for the download, and one hour labor for the kit install.....

A little off subject, but with todays unleaded gas/oxidizers/additives, you will get a white reading, you can't really read the plugs like you could with leaded fuel. You have to get a reading off the exhaust with 02 sensors of what the AFR (Air Fuel Ratio ) numbers are and make the adjustments to the map richer or leaner. If you have a SERT installed and then have it dyno tuned by a good tech, you should get optimum performance with the correct AFR adjustments made.
