Default Headlamp question?

Hey and Happy Labor's Day to you all!,A question from a new '04 Electra Glider owner: I havea Bosch headlamp with a blue halogen bulb and it doesn't shine bright on the road. Tried alignment on it and still not bright. Anyone have this experience and idea on possible headlamp change like to the HD later model halogen headlamp with clear smooth lens? I'm open to any ideas...

You have at leastfive (5) options:

1. Upgrade the stock 55w bulb to an 85w or 100w approx $25

2. Install the Dual Halagon Light Kit from the P&A Book $ 250

3. Contact Daniel Stern for his Marchal Upgrade to the Electra Glide $ 300

4. Upgrade the Passing Lamps on your EG with the lamps that have replacable bulbs, install 55w bulbs in them ( $65+$20) $85

5. Add Motolightswith either white or yellow 55w bulbs mounted on the calpier bolts $400

Monitor your Volt Meter closely to make certain that you are not overloading the voltage regulator and stator.

Depending on how much you want to spend, there are some options.

I've done all but #3 and the best bang for the buck is #1 IMO.
I upgraded to the dual bulb kit and hated it. Retro'd that to a HID low beamsystem and love it! A bit pricy though. White and brite as hell!
If I was gonna do it over again I'd just swap out to the higher wattage bulb like I had on my 97. It was so brite that guys didn't want to ride in front of me.

We have done #1, #2, #4 and #5

Quite pleased with the dual bulb halagon, the upgraded spot/driving lights and the motolights.

You sends your money, you makes the choices.

Just want to pass along my experience with Daniel Stern. I have been waiting two months for bulbs. I have called and emailed and still no bulbs. He does seem to have a lot of information but apparently no actual lights...

Note: I have posted this in a few places just to share the information...

Just an update... I have been waiting two months for my lights from Daniel Stern. Posted here yesterday afternoon about 1:30 about the lack of product delivery. Less than 12 hours later I get a tracking number from Daniel for my shipment. Coincidence? Regardless this is an example of very poor customer support. I don't care how good the lights are, this is inexcusable.

I have noticed that in my pickup, when I installed the bright bulbs, they only lasted about a year before they were dimmer than stock.
