The wife I were in an accident and I have replaced all of the damaged parts except for the end cap on the throttle side of the Kahuna heated hand grip. Does anyone know if this is an item that I can purchase separately? I've looked with no luck. The grips still work fine so I hate to buy a new set for just the end cap.
Thanks, Mike
If you look on the H-D website at the installation instructions for your heated grips, there are part numbers for the right hand grip cap. There are 9 different part numbers for caps.
Nice job and description! I'm trying to get the HD original grips installed. Getting the cables through the handlebar was quite the ordeal, but using some 'lubricant' (wrap the connectors in some plastic) and perseverance I succeeded on that part. I'm not using any other accessories, so was hoping to plug it right in, but I don't see where I can connect the grips to the bike. The manual is of no help. I was hoping not to have to use the wire upgrade harness, but it seems I might need it after all (for one, the cabling on the grips is not long enough to reach that connecter, then the connector is larger at the bikes). I hope I'm missing something, perhaps there's a connector somewhere else on the bike for the grips to connect to? Thanks for the feedback.
