I bought a Motherwell style rack on ebay for $55. The ebay listing said the rack was for "Road King models' so I sent the seller a message asking if it would fit a Street Glide. After not getting a response, I bought it anyway and it mounted fine with my Mustang solo seat.
AFTER I bought it and installed it, the seller (who I bought it from) responded that it would NOT work with a Street Glide. Go figure, since I aready had it mounted on my Street Glide. I sent the seller a message back that he/she was wrong and that the part they were infact selling for Road Kings did, in fact, fit the SG.
Long story short: It may work fine on your bike. Send Motherwell an email and ask them.
Ok so the solo rack does work with the EG. I'll read the description closer next time, They have a gunfighter style with tie down hooks that could come in handy.
Here's a photo of the Motherwell next to the HD solo rack. Either one will 'LOOK' good on a bike. If that is what you want. But neither one is large enough to carry anything of size. They both have a curve in them. Therefore nothing canlay flat. Anything that is long will rest on the saddle bag lids. These were installed on a Road King.

The motherwell works great for a mini-playmate cooler/lunchbox. I carry my lunch to work on mine with a cpl of bungees all the time Matter of fact I had better get busy making some sammiches right now!
