try www.mchitch.com they sell a good and reasonably priced hitch. as for the wiring harness JP cycles seems to be the cheaps on the market. i have done a few searches and they sell the isolator as well.

Bushtec sells the Isolator Harness and both the bike side pigtail and trailer pigtail.

I just ordered the hitch, isolator and pigtails for my 08 Ultra Classic. You can't go wrong with a Bushtec trailer. I've never met anyone who didn't love their trailer.

I installed a trailer hitch and installed thr Orange H~D end cap. Then had service work done and thank you very much now I have no warranty. So install a hitch at your own risk. Talk to your dealer and see if it matters to them. It mattered to my dealer.

I've pulled two homebuilt cargo trailers and two camper trailers( currently a Timeout ) through 10 Provinces and 27 States. Loading is important, stopping takes practice and don't turn too tight near a curb. Had a Hitchdoc installed by the dealer when I bought it. Usually don't even notice that its back there.

My dealer says the same thing. But I would think it would be on the dealer to PROVE you actually tow something and don't use the hitch for something such as carrying an ice chest.

I have a tow package on my car. I use it for carrying all kinds of things (different items fit) have never used it to tow anything.

Pretty tempted to drop the 5 year warrenty anyway. If I sneeze I void it....and my dealers hourly rate has turned me away from thier shop.

I pulled a trailer behind my Roadking a few years back. After a nice road trip (3000 miles) Id had enough, and I sold the trailer and hitch. The reasons:
1. Fuel mileage went south, to the sum of half at highway speeds.
2. Exhaust note was doubled under acceleration due to the noise bouncing off the trailer
3. You end up hauling things you dont need, simply because you have room.
4. Handling characteristics change during hard cornering, meaning it will slow you down.

Good points:
1. Easy to stow/unstow things like jackets.
2. Under 50 the fuel mileage stayed the same.
3. Having an ice cooler was very convienent.

To each, their own. These are my personal experiences, and Im sure that pulling a trailer is great for some.
