Default Reaching the switch wires

Hello, I am wanting to do the spot lamp, high beam mod. Can anyone tell me how to get to the switch wires on the dash. Spots, speaker, cruise and acc switches. I have not had my bike apart yet but I was told I could maybe access them by taking off the outer ferring.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Warden

I just installed Spots and added a switch to the housing. In the HD Shop Manual it describes how to remove the Ignition switch. It is quite easy but I suggest you get the Manual as there are certain steps to doing it right. i.e. turn forks to left, turn switch counter clockwise, insert key and turn clockwise, depress button underneath ignition switch, turn and lift off and watch out for spring.......etc. There are now spacers to remove and then you can reinsert the Ignition switch to unlock the forks so you can get the switch housing out. You can understand from the above why I suggest getting the Manual. We did two Bikes on Saturday. Mine went fine, we locked the forks and switch up on my Buddy's. We figured it out eventually.
