Start with temp gauge itself t, since may give us a clue on what sensor goes with it.
If not, then take ohm reading of sensor at room temp, then take sensor to say Napa, to see if they have something that is threaded the same, about the same length, and has same ohm reading at same temp.
As for worrying about primary fluid temps, got to be a whole lot **** to even care about that, much less put a temp gauge in to monitor it.
My guess, is someone was burning up stator's by having too much current load on the bike or problem with voltage regulator;s, and through that the coils windings burning up on the stator, was coming from primary fluid being too hot instead.
In the bottom of my inner primary I noticed a sensor, it looks like a temperature sensor, but no one I talk to has ever seen this before. Is there any one here who can tell me what this is and if needed, and also how to order a new one since 1 of the wires was broken. The bike is a 1999 Ultraglide, EFI FLHTCU-I 88 cu in tc. And sorry for my poor gramma, english is not my 1st language. BR Jon Vikan
