Thanks for the help. The battery is stickered as 3/24. I'm working the next 4 nights but when I'm off I will check the voltage on the battery assuming it is charged.if not ill get a new one and then test the charging system. Will post again soon as I test it out.
Another welcome from IAFF brother......battery is toast.
(codes??)
when it was on side of road it was like it didn't even have any power I'll check for codes either when this battery is charged or I put a new one in it
I went decades never having a bad new battery. Two years ago had a one year old truck battery and buddy had one year old harley battery. I wonder of electric vehicles are sucking up components, shrinkflation and they are trying to keep costs down by lower the spec. Or maybe once in 30 years, isn't a big deal.
Ok day off now battery been on charge since Thursday evening. Tried to get battery tested was to low to test. Installed new battery after charging it to full. Everything seemed fine on installation. Bike started up perfectly. Volt meter on battery at idle showed 14.1-14.2, idle at 3k 14.2-14.3.

That shows your charging system is healthy. We'll have to wait until the next cold start to see if the battery recovered from that really low charge...
FWIW....
You can also measure the Battery at three stages...
1) Battery at rest, off the tender for an hour.. The voltage should reading 12.6V+ is good
2) Battery when ignition switch is turned on.... The voltage should drop a few tenths on a good battery... 12.3V+ is good
3) Battery when you first hit the starter button (may need assistance, or a set of clips for the volt meter)... The voltage should drop and then recover as the starter spins the engine. If the initial drop is: below 10V the battery is weak / below 9.5V the battery needs to be replaced / below 9.0 volts the battery is toast.

I would add 13 ish when idling, rev it up should go to around 14.4 and stop.
12.7 is consider perfect battery, but I am not sure it really stays that long. I have ran many batteries at 12.3, and some times little less. The manual does or did have a chart, each 10th equates to 50%, 75% ect of battery health.
Thanks for all the help and info. I did put a brand new battery in it. Plan on test riding it tomorrow lol.
Ps appreciate all the advice and help you guys stay safe and keep the rubber down and keep on rolling.
