I do ride 2-up. The bike is a 07 RK standard. I would like it a little lower, about an inch. Should I buy a kit or the Street Glide shocks? What are the pro's and con's?
You can call eastern performance cycle, they have a set of 12" air shocks that are direct replacements for the 13" shocks you already have. A mere 130.00 or so with free shipping

Are you looking for price, ride quality, or what? As with anything in this world, you get what you pay for.
Lowering kit is cheaper and with your shocks it will have a better ride than SG's will, but if you want sg shocks they are all over ebay motors for cheap.
If you lower the rear you WILL LOSE the ride quality.... As you are reducing the travel of the shock (that's the cush for the tush) and depending on your & your passangers weight along with how you pack the bike for travel (weight) will also effect the ride and comfort and if lowered a better chance of bottoming out (hitting the rear wheel) when hitting dips in the road...
A Lowering Cam is the cheapest way to go... There are many on the market from 1" - 3" and also adjustable cams (check out E-Bay)...
Really want to do it right??? You would be looking at an Air Ride System that will allow you to change the air pressure & the height while OTR - But that's $$$$$$....
