One thing I didnt see anyone mention is that the 18 and 20 are hydraulic clutch and the 24 is cable. Some people hated the hydraulic clutch cause the friction zone was far out and not adjustable. I personally like the hydraulic clutch better than the mess they made of the 21 and up with the plastic adjuster. Its ultimately gonna be user preference.
To me the FLHX is just the pretty boy in high heeled shoes of the touring line up. Why give up amenities? Though harley has a history of forum over function.
No to 2-18, early M8
2024 is a bit more money and have to deal with a warranty. I like someone else to work the bugs out and then you don't have to worry about modding.
No to 2020 for willie G gawdy look. True duals rob power. Why doesn't it have a GPS stereo?
I say get some time of Ultra or limited with a trunk and never take it off.

I am riding both. I really don't notice it. What sucks is because its a harley they screwed up the design and it needs to be flushed or it could fail.

It might be out of your miles range but look at this. This is where I bought my trike from this bike is practically new with less than 3000 miles on it. Look at the website , they have a few others. They are in Winston Salem NC. In my opinion worth the look. 3 man shop , low overhead. I thought it was too good to be true when I found a 2 year old trike with 1900 miles and in totale I saved around 8000 grand compared to any dealer. www.nealketnermotors.com

I have seen some trouble with some of the 107's , oil pump for one.I would think the 2024 is a no brainer. I was at Iron Valley they had a nice selection of used bikes in Lancaster Pa.
OP - There are better deals on Facebook for the amount of cash you have.
If you're worried about not buying from your local dealers, don't fret that. They will service and sell you upgrades for you. They will happily take your money.
