To clarify my point. The 107 is a great motor. It kinda runs out of juice as the rpms climb. The 114 is better, but the 117 pulls strong across the rpm range.v.
I am going to disagree, because I disagree. TC88s I think were cooler than 96". EPA laws changed in 2006, and simply bigger motors are hotter. My 2007 is hotter

And I have no doubt I would enjoy the latest engine. But I just disagree with people who will say you can't tour 2 up with a 103. I have been pretty happy 103 stock. Again I am sure if I drove a faster bike, I would like it. My 96" was just stage 1, and was ok too.

You might be right. My 88 was an flhr, and the 96 was a Softail custom. I think the touring bikes just run hotter. I didn't have the same issues on the Softail.

Helluva lot cheaper than a dealership.

Might be worth your time. I've got fantastic deal from Chesapeake HD on my current ride. Good people and easy to deal with. Oh and to stay on topic - I'd go with 2024 model. I think all the scary stories about electronic are overblown, not saying it doesn't happen but we mostly only hear stories when something gets wrong. Like in the hospital - most of the people around are in need of medical attention

That MD store might be a joke...I called about a used bike or something, maybe ref to me trading...I really don't remember. But, what I do remember is that the guy I spoke with on the phone was not very helpful or enticing at all, through the whole vibe off.

I would choose the 24 with the 117 as it’s just so much nicer. I was searching marketplace and I just couldn’t find what I wanted.
You might look new, I ended up with a new 25 SG black/black for 21k then with all the fees/taxes was 25k. 2k fees and 2k taxes.

Deals are out there. I suggest widening your search, 250 miles seems like the sweet spot. I bought a 2022 in Maryland in April, drove there and back from the Island same day. 4 hours there, 6 hours back, long day but well worth it for the deal I got. Saving several thousand dollars is worth a days drive, good luck.

OP - I agree with Architect. Go on Facebook and Craigslist and set your search parameters out a bit father than 250-miles.

You are kinda shut off north of you unless there's a bike sitting on the bottom of Lake Ontario.

I did a 600-mile search on Craigslist and found my garage queen 2010 FLHTK with sidecar out in Columbus, Ohio.

I found my '16 FLHTK via Facebook Marketplace in Long Island. And my '42 WLA in Maine through Facebook. In the middle of moose country no less!

And don't forget to browse Bring a Trailer. I just sold a Triumph bobber flip there.

Or go for the '24 at Tioga. It's only money.........

I would also like to add my hat into the drive a little farther ring. My bike before my current was in West Memphis Arkansas. I'm in Harford Co. Md.
