Nice. I think you showed me this pick a while ago.

From my experience the OEM 8” bars put my hands completely below the fairing, 10” bars put them right at the top of the fairing, and 12” bars put them above the fairing.

Getting the right bars for you is more than just your height, you also have to take into account how much of your height is in your legs and how much is in your torso. (In other words, your shoulder height when you’re sitting on the bike) You also have to consider your arm (sleeve) length.

For example, I’m 6’ tall with a 32” inseam and anything above 10” bars hurts my shoulders. Likewise, I have shorter than average arms and find myself leaning forward with most bars, which hurts my back. I tried 10” H-D Tallboys and 10” LA Choppers Twin Peaks but they couldn’t roll back far enough to be comfortable for me without hitting the sides of the tank at near full lock. I ~really~ liked the look of the thicker mitered Twin Peaks, but they instantly caused neck and shoulder pain given my body dimensions.

The solution I found that worked for me on my previous ’21 FLHTK was the Khrome Werks 2+2 Narrow Sweepers. They move the grips 2” back and 2” up from stock, which put them right where I needed them, while maintaining clearance from the tank. They also maintained the look and width of the stock bars and had a flatter more comfortable wrist angle.

On my current ‘24 SG I was able to use the H-D Tallboys designed for the newer bikes. With the redesigned tank, clearance is no longer an issue.

Thank you for your input, I am also looking at this as well.

I put on a set of Heli Bars for the ElectraGlide on my 2019 FLHTP. The stock bars hit my knees. I am 6'7" with 36 inch inseam. I could not decide on which bars so I bought these adjustable bars. After install, I took one Saturday to ride alone, adjust, ride more, adjust, ride more, repeated until I found my sweet spot.

Stock wiring and hydraulic lines worked fine on my bike. Hands are below the fairing and slightly back. Comfortable for 500+ miles days.

I went to my local indy bike shop. He is also a KST dealer. KST Is an American manufacture located in a town about an hour from my home town.
I like using local manufacturing when I can. Now I have a plan. The bars I have chosen are polished stainless steal and I will have the ability to put the wires inside the bars for a cleaner look.
BUT first! I need to get my spare wheel from the powder coating guy.

I was real happy with those bars in that size and finish.

Yeah, I'm hopping I will too. I sat on my bike taking measurements placing my hands where I was most comfortable, yada, yada, yada. On paper they look good. We shall see. Thanks again! 😎

Went to KST in Bremen Ga.today. It was about a 1 hour ride from my home. They are a class act manufacturer. They gave me a tour of the place and showed me the bars that I plan to buy. I still plan to get the bars from my Indy Bike shop.

I have the KST bars on my King and am happy with them. They are the fatter Heritage-style bars. I could have gone with the 10" minis and any taller my shoulders would said no-way. I rolled them back a bit so I can reach.
