+4 was still a little tight for my liking so i went +6. 10" yaffees

Really? Hmm. Well, I will find out one way or another. Got the trany oil and gasket, waiting for the cable to get here.
BTW, what cable brand did you use? Would you please show a pic.

the cable is the +4 I removed.

Some handlebar manufacturers measure to the top of the meat hook, others don’t I think, so the meathook will be higher on an actual 10” bar at the grips

correct. 10" yaffes measure 12" at the peak.
