Default Won't start in gear

2011 Ultra 85K miles
Good morning, everyone!
I recently disconnected my clutch cable from both ends to lube it and after reassembling it will only start in neutral.
I presume it's the little switch at the lever with the rubber boot on it.
Do you think it just slipped out of position, or do I need to order a new one?
Thanks for always helping out!
Barron

No way to know without inspecting it.

You're gonna need to see if you broke it during re-install...

They are no longer available from the MoCo...

If you search by the part number, there is some new old stock (NOS) of that part still available, like eBay, etc..

Good luck with your repair....

It’s likely the switch just slipped out of position. Check its alignment and connections before deciding to replace it.

I've had this happen with front brake lever switches myself, caused the brake light to stay on all the time. On some bikes like my 03, it can be caused by the lever mount not being pressed up against the switch housing tightly before all the screws are tightened.
