Default Jump start advisory

Admittedly I haven't scrolled through a thousand threads to see if anyone has already mentioned this. So if someone has just let me know. But scrolling through Facebook this morning I saw this advisory from an HD dealer.
Anyone seen or heard something similar?

I've jumped my '24 SG a couple of times using HD's recommended procedure with no issues.

Get a good tender, and just go ride.
From a strictly electrical standpoint as long as you hook the cables up properly to the bike battery first then to the jump battery with connecting the positive first you will be fine. If the bike battery is truely very low you want to wait a few minutes prior to trying to start it up. This allows the battery to recover some and do not have a car or truck running when you do it as it's charging system, will put out way more than the bike battery can handle

I'd be inclined to believe them about it, all except the INVESTMENT part, it's just a purchase, NOT an investment, actually it's a financial drain to the max!

If it's an investment, I've always had a poor return on it!

Isn't that nifty... The automotive industry can make cars that can be jumped off of any 12v source. Harley makes a bike that excessively draws from the battery when parked, then can't be jump started without frying the electronics. Good job HD. Real premium product...

You can take to the bank if its on Face Book. I would just check with a dealer.

Never said it was gospel. Just a simple inquiry from people on this forum to see if anyone's heard of such a thing.

If you don't maintain your vehicle/motorcycle, won't it be worth less?

So, wouldn't performing proper maintenance and following service procedures, preserve your investment? Or to make you happy, I'll use the word "purchase".

I read: "Come see us to purchase the appropriate replacement battery, or battery charger. Not feeling it? Our service department would be happy to handle this for you!"

What "INVESTMENT" loses thousands of dollars walking out the door, and NEVER increases for the time you have it?
Thats in monetary terms.
In personal emotional wind therapy terms it's PRICELESS FOREVER!!

A good friend of mine just traded a 2013 Glide with 130k on it to a dealer he has been doing business with for twenty years for a new 2025 Ultra and was told this about not jumping the new bikes.
