In my quest of replacing bolts with ARP type, next up are swing arm bolts. But before I start removing the factory bolts, I want to make sure this whole thing will not come down crashing and I end up in deep ****.
Is it safe to remove these one by one? Meaning, I would remove one bolt and replace it with new one. Can I have bike up in the air with rear hanging?
First, I would buy the service manual before I started messing around, or taking advice from the hive mind. But, being the helpful type (and bored out of my mind at the moment), I copied this image from the HD online technical site (well worth the $70/yr subscription), it seems that these can be removed one at a time since it only supports the outer bushing. Torque to 55-65 ft-lb.
You're welcome.
PS - the bike should be fully supported on a jack to unload the rear suspension.
Thanks Pappy. Much appreciated. I had a service manual for my 2019 SGS. Didnt get around this bike yet. I actually didnt know they had it online like that! Good to know.
