Well, I did it.
I think I broke a wire when installing a chrome clutch bracket or master cylinder. None looks pinched, but all was working great before I did the big "upgrade".
Now my horn, brake light, and turn signals do not work at all, even when pushing-pulling or twisting on the wires.
Is there a particular wire that can cause all 3 problems, or have I broke more than one? If more than one does anybody have a clue?
Service manual on the way, but I want to ride tomorrow. Can anyone send me a scan of the handlebar wiring schematic?
Thanks in advance.
Rick
Thanks to everyone who contacted me on this problem.
I really appreciate the diagram also.
I found that I had cut the orange w/ white stripe wire and in the process blew a fuse behind the left side cover.
The wires insulation looked fine to the naked eye, but was split length wise and shorted against the clutch clamp blowing the fuse.
I had to run it down with a meter to find it, but after a quick solder splice, some heat shrink, and a new fuse, all is well.
Thanks again to everyone.
Rick
