I have the HD two piece Gore-Tex rain suit and the sizes are the same for other stuff I wear. My XL jacket size was the same for the rainsuit and my large( ) pant size was the same for the rainsuit.

My wife and I bought the HD gear at a dealership.

We found that the sizing tookinto account wearing a leather jacket.

I wear a size large leather jacket, and the large rain gear fit perfectly over a leather jacket.

The wife are ready to pull the trigger on rain gear. She is looking at the H-D packable rain suit (part # 97028-05). I am leaning that way as well (men's of course part # 97028-00) or the Nelson-Riggs VTL-700 rain suit.
I bought the same rain gear. It's good stuff. Well made and it keeps you dry.

The day I made my purchase I went in wearing my leather jacket and chaps so I could try it on over everything. I'm 6' tall, 210 pounds. I bought a size large. I bought a second set for my son to wear on an upcoming road trip also in a large. My son is about 5-10 and 170 lbs. and it worked okay for him. My wife has used the second set of rain gear on occasion and it's a little big but it works for her no more often than she needs it. So now the second set of gear is shared by my wife and son, depending on who's traveling.

Just remember, youi're always sitting while you're wearing the rain suit so the pants are not going to fall off. Unless your wife is a plus size gal I'd suggest a size medium for her. But the best way is always to try it on.

You are going to both have to try the rain gear on....it may me a good idea to wear your regular riding gear also when you are doing the sizing....takes the guess work out

I've got 2 HD rain suits. One is XXL for the colder months when I would have a thick shirt and the leather jacket and chaps. but it really looks funky durring the warmer months when I am rideing in just a shirt or such. And I finally got a lg for the warmer months, it sure looks tons better over just the shirt!
Of course it only took me about 5 years of rideing to finally get both. But the HD raingear is about as good as you can get and will last 10-15 years or more.
