Default When you wash your Harley...

...do you cover the switches on the handlebars, tank mounted speedo consul, muffler openings, fuel gauge capor anything else wherewater could get into. Should I be concerned?

If you can ride it in the rain you can wash it without covering things up. You just don't want to apply a strong stream of water(i.e. pressure) to the switches and any place there is grease.

I cover my radio now on my 06 SG. Twice I have washed it and the screen display went out; had to have the radio replaced. Ya some waterproofing there.

I have an open K&N filter, so I just tie a small plastic bag over it.
Wash the Hell out of it and blow dry. That's it for me.
