I just picked up a 1-month-old Power Commander III on e-bay for $80 - what gives with the resale value of these things? They have almost no resale value. This has to be one of the only "Harley Parts" that does not resale for 80% of what it cost new.
Am I missing something. I even called DynoJet to make sure it was the most current model because I could not believe how low the price was on that thing. I thought I had the deal of the week, but after I started looking around $80 - $125 seems to be a typical e-bay value.Just looking for someopinions on this one.
Lots of people are scared to buy used electronics.
I think I am the opposite - with electronics usually either it works or it doesn't. I am just thinking for that price, I can afford to deal with the headache of an e-bay claim - saving 200 bucks is saving 200 bucks.

That's a good deal IMO. I was watching them for a couple weeks until I bought a new one for $285. I couldn't find anything that looked good used. Most of them were missing manuals, CDs, etc. I wasn't willing to gamble. Hope yours works great for you. Good luck.

the manual and software can be downloaded from the dynojet website. in fact, the cd that came with mine had the outdated software, i downloaded the newer version. i realize that doesn't help you any since you bought a new one, but may help someone else. i'm a little leary of buying a powercommander used myself, through fuelmoto you get a 2 year warranty, but that used one has zero warranty.
