Since we are on the subject, is there a big diff on a stage one with K&N and slip ons when you install the power commander? I was told that if the bike ran ok don't mess with it. My instinks tell me to get one.
Thats a great price for a new model PCIII, The PCIIIs 2002-2006 are the same, 07 is the same but comes with 02 sensor eleminators, the 01 and back to 99 is the same and one for a 98 back to 95 id different one too. So hope you got one for your bike otherwise its useless to you.

You shouldn't be running a K&N filter assembly with mufflers if you aren't adding some fuel. The PC-III with the aforementioned parts, with a decent map, has noticeably better response everywhere and the exhaust note isn't quite so harsh.
Ok all this pc111 talk has me awake and wanting to ask this question, is it really tough to add or remove fuel on it with a laptop hooked up? I have had my pc111 on the bike for 4 years now and it has been tuned on the dyno 3 different times by 3 different people and they each say that the last guy didnt know what he was doing. I have Popping on Decel pretty bad, one guy tells me it to rich and the next says it to lean, I woould assume to rich since the insides of the exhaust tips are coal black and I am getting about 32mpg. if anyone has some tips for adjusting it on my own I would like to try it. i dont have a cord for hooking it to my laptop yet, the guy that installed it told me I would never need it so he kept it.[:@]but I'm going to get one real soon. thanks

No, it's really easy. and it's not a special cable it's the same cable you might use for a mp3 player. small USB connector at one end, usual usb connector at the other.
You can get maps from other people with similar bikes and mods, or just change individual cells, it's easy. Each cell is a section of the table where a throttle opening intersects with a rpm speed. It's really easy.
