Just wanted to let anyone who cares know that I'm having my'08 Street Glidedynoed and tuned tomorrow with a new SERT. They just arrived at my dealership in Brandon, FL. Get 'em while you can.
if you get a chance let us know how it went and what numbers you get out of it or just post the dyno report in the dyno numbers for baggers thread. best of luck
I added the SE A/C and SERT last night. I had alreadyinstalled theRush 1.75" slip-ons. I haven't had it dyno'd yet, just loaded the map #100. With what little riding I did, it seems to run fine. I still have a bit of decel popping and will tackle that soon. We'll see how it affected mileage.

Did you notice any difference with the sound of the pipes? I too have the Rush 1.75 with the D/L. I'm not happy with the sound of the 1.75 and find them "tinny". I read a post somewhere that the SERT will change the sound of the Rush pipes. Quieter? I'm scheduled for SERT and dyno on 10/5 and prefer to keep the pipes if I can get them less "tin sounding". Otherwise, I will need to pick up some V&H Ovals.

I'm sure it will. With just the 2" Rushes on my otherwise stock '07 RKC they don't sound too bad, but are a little harsh and somewhat tinny. 41.5 MPG average.
Install K&N airbox and PC-III with a suitable-enough map and they sound deep and mellow. Extra power and smoothness down low, too. 39.9 MPG same usage.
Just picked up my bike tonight. I too just had to go with a base map. The reason is that I was the first tune with the new SERT and now that the touring bikes are "drive by wire" they couldn't get the TB "butterfly" to go wide open. It seemed to do what it wanted and would begin to close in the upper rpm range. They also couldn't get a read from 5 to 18% throttle opening. Basically there is going to be a learning curve on this new electronic throttle in terms of tuning. Any help would be appreciated. NOW, for the setup and sound. First off, everyone has their preferences. If you like quiet pipes you can stop reading now. I have the fulsac conversion and Rush mufflers with 2.5 inch baffles. I am VERY VERY PLEASED with the sound. Can't confirm a "tinny" sound but what one person hears my not be what another hears. My new setup sounds deep and LOUD. This thing makes my rineharts on my RKC sound.....well.....pretty tame. The 2.5 baffles with a baloney cut muffler literally envelops you with wonderful deep tones. If you like quiet "metric-like" pipes these are definitely NOT for you. If you're looking for a low down rumble that just sings a traditional harley sound with a bit of almost hotrod v8 like properties you NEED these pipes. Granted tuning the 2.5 baffles is going to be a challenge but it is worth it. Hope this helps. I have no idea what kind of power they made, nor would it matter with a base mapping. Frankly, right now I really don't care!!!!
