6 touring HD's later (since 1995) and the air temp guage is still unaccurate.. Listen u dont need an air temp guage ... Whens its hot outside u know it, When its cold u know it. Get an oil temp guage and replace the air temp..or get a compas..maybe that ll work right... PS u dont need an oil temp guage either.. The bike will tell u when its hot.. F' ur stealer ...go to another!
Youve gotta learn to live with some of Harley's issues. That said Ide ride no other motorcycle!
Had my fair share of central PA dealer dissappointments as well.
Worked with a couple that weren't interested in even talking to me.
Took my number, promised to call, never did. A week later I call back, ask to talk turkey again, said they would call me back.....never did to this day 2 months later. First time, shame on you; second time, shame on me. Third time doesn't happen.
Finally ended up at Iron Valley in Manheim. Been working with Bruce in sales. Absolutely awesome attitude, no pressure, returns my calls and is willing to talk turkey with you one on one. I wasn't really interested inan '06, but Bruces attitude and the hisworking to obtain my sale is what made me buy it. Yeah, I love the bike too, don't get me wrong.
I can't speak for their service, as of yet anyway. Here is to hoping I don't need too.
MOCO absolutely must start to address these dealer issues. They are the one's losing out in the long run. Yeah, people are still going to want to buy Harley's, but if you're treated like sh*t in the process you'll be carrying a nice grudge for years to come.
compass, who needs a compass? sun rises in the east and sets in the west, if its morning, and the sun is on your left, your headed south..... what more do you need to know

which translates to more dollars in the aftermarket's pocket with the non-hd accessories that you bought cause your dealer sucked a**!
Adding my experience on my first HD an 07 RKC, on the first ride 30 miles from home oil started
pouring out of the air cleaner, call HOG they get a tow-truck out there, since Ididn't know what the
heck was going on with the oil coming out. While loading the bike onto the tow trailer I push down
on the handlebars to compress for the tie-downs and the handlebars go down quite easliy, when we
get to the dealer I explain all that needs done and the dealer says it is a common problem from
Harley, he says they actually over-torque them to get them solid. Pickup my bike a few days later,
handlebars are still in same down position and oil is not entirely cleaned off of the pipes, I took the
bike anyways, cleaned up myself and pulled handlebars back into position. The handlebar clamping
device on these RKC's is garbage, are there any better after-market clamps available?? cause I would
change them out in a heart-beat
Prescott is prime Az living. Not as hot as Phoenix Dry most of the year, so you can ride 98% of the year. ! hour from Flagstaff. Good living all around.
That really stinks. Don't know that I have ever used my temp gauge though. Go with the advice of the oil temp gauge...don't know if a compass would do you any good either.
Change dealers is your best advice. There are 100 good dealers for every bad dealer is my experience. But then maybe I don't have as high expectations as some...
I don't post much but I gotta jump in this one, I GOT MY REVENGE on a local stealer. I went across the street and bought a Goldwing! I still ride my Ultra to Harley events, etc. Now ever time my HD is in the shop, and that has been a lot lately, I ride the Wing in to the HD shop and hang around all afternoon. LOL!!!
It's really a lot of fun responding to the usual question, "You did what?"
