My cb statics back through my helmet headset when I push the button to use the cb. It only doesn't it when the bike is running. It doesn't do it when hte key is turned on or on accesory. Has anyone had the push to talk switch go bad on there bike?
Think there was a thread here a few days ago that addressed that same issue??? Don't have the link... Might try a search... I think John from J&M helped out....

But yes it's possible the head set cord is bad.
The cord should have a rf shielding in it and if faulty could cause the static/
Sounds like what'shappening is you're picking up ignition noise through the system.
So check wiring down in the control pod too.
while you are trnasmitting and hearing the static, reach back with your other arm and wrap your hand around the CB antenna ,,, and tell me if the noise goes away ,,,
