Default tire pressure

I was just wondering what PSI people are running in their tires. The owners manual says to go by what the tire says. Both of my tires say 40 PSI cold, so that is what I am doing. However, some people run different pressure in their front and rear tires.

What should I do??

What brand are you running?

I have the Metzeler 880's, and run 46 rear, 42 front - solo riding.

I run 36 front & 40 rear. Manual for Dunlops will state 36 for front and rear depends on what or who you are hauling.

I read an article in a bike mag from a guy fromDUNLOP that said put 40 in front and rear. That's what. I have been running for 6k miles now and no issues. Tiers seem to be wearing fine. Ride is also fine

I was running my dunlops 36 front and rear.Recently bumped the rear pressure up to 40 because I carry my girlfriend and that's what the manual said to do if you carry a passenger, but it really hits the bumps much harder now. She's not happy. I'm going to bring it down to 38 and see how that works.

40 rear 39 front. I got 26,000 miles out of my front tire running it at this pressure, which I think is a bit above average.
