I tried the $10 one from Walmart as well as the Slime compressor. The Walmart one worked just as well. It also had a guage on it which worked ok. Gives you an idea of when to unplug it.
If I remember right I decided on the Slime one because there was some kind of promotion which included some Slime and discounted the compressor.
The only trouble that I see with CO2 cartridges is that you are not supposed to store them inhigh heat. Saddlebags and trunks can get mighty hot sitting out in the sun. That and the fact that when you run out of them, you are out. If you have a slow leak, even after plugging, you can always top off with a compressor.
fortunately I've not had a cycle flat yet, but I've heard to not use slime on some tubeless tires. I'd go with the t-handle and plug.
My brother got a flat at 3am in the country but got lucky and there was a gas station around the corner with their hose still out. The plug blew out at 155mph on a liter bike and he grabbed a hand of brake and it was a wild ride back down to 0 but it stopped. obviously it was a rear flat. no plugs available, sticks would not stay in hole, but he found a sheet metal screw and it sealed the hole for the last 70 miles of his trip at 40mph...
