Stock Slip-Ons keep coming Loose
Hello
I have a 08SG and the dam slip-ons keep coming loose and leaking down by the clamp do they make a better clamp til i rip these sukers off in Nov when the PC is avail??

If you have an 08 take it back to the dealer. You have a 2 year warranty that you have paid for in the price of the bike so why not use it rather than spending more $$$ out of your pocket. If you are looking for more sound right now you can add most slip ons without having to do any mods to the bike. Once all the modules come out later you can make any other mods you are thinking about and still use your slip ons.

Try tightening the clamps. If that doesn't work then the clamps are probably stretched too far and will never tighten down. Have them replaced under warranty or replace them yourself for $10 each...

Sounds like you're not using the stock clamps. Did the mufflers come with their own? Go back to the stock ones and cinch them to 45 ft-lb. I've had my clamps on and off several times and they still work like champs.

See if the slots in the slipons are big enough. It might be compressing all the way and still not tightening. Some people have had to open up the slots a bit by grinding. Sounds like you might need new clamps though as others have said.
